About the position

The Senior Product Designer at WeCool Toys is responsible for leading the design and development of innovative and engaging products for children, particularly in the toy industry. This role involves overseeing the entire creative process from concept to final artwork, ensuring brand consistency and product innovation while collaborating with various teams to meet commercial needs.

Responsibilities

• Brand ownership across concept, packaging, and product for existing and new ranges.
• Designing new product concepts, 2D product artworks, and packaging designs.
• Creating design spec sheets and new templates for product and packaging.
• Liaising with product teams on artwork approvals and style guide requirements.
• Ensuring accuracy of artwork in terms of copy, spelling, codes, and images.
• Identifying design trends and planning new products to present to the creative director.
• Conducting market and inspirational research for packaging recommendations.
• Managing photography and presentations for product marketing.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of solid technical expertise in the toy industry and product development life cycle.
• Intermediate skills in Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Knowledge and experience of Far East manufacturing.
• Experience working with licensed products is a plus.
• Strong project management and timeline planning skills.
• High proficiency in Box Shot, rendering, die lines, structure, design, and layout.

Nice-to-haves

• Strong illustration skills and hand sketching abilities.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong photography skills for product, packaging, and lifestyle.
