About the position

The Senior Product Designer will lead key aspects of Melio's platform design, guiding the user experience from prioritization through to launch. This role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and partner design teams to create seamless and impactful experiences for a diverse range of partners, ultimately supporting Melio's mission of empowering small businesses through enhanced B2B payment solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Own critical aspects of the platform's product design, steering the user experience from prioritization through to launch.
  • Collaborate closely with Principal Designers, Product Managers, and Engineering leads to translate company strategy into impactful initiatives.
  • Work with design teams from leading U.S. financial institutions to ensure a cohesive design experience.
  • Engage directly with customers to gather insights, develop prototypes, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Propose new collaboration methods and initiatives to enhance joint projects and drive mutual success.
  • Participate in design critiques, story creation, weekly stand-ups, and other team rituals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on product design experience in a software product company.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end UX/UI projects.
  • Exceptional communication skills to articulate design decisions and strategies.
  • Highly independent and proactive, capable of driving projects with minimal guidance.
  • Skilled in translating complex user requirements into coherent design solutions.
  • Effective in a multidisciplinary environment, balancing diverse perspectives.
  • Demonstrated mastery of Figma with strong prototyping skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining design consistency.
  • Proven ability to work seamlessly across time zones.

  • Previous experience in marketing design with a focus on user engagement.
  • Prior experience in fintech, especially with B2B payment platforms.
