About the position

As a Senior Product Designer at Intuit, you will join the QuickBooks Accounting Automation team, which is dedicated to leveraging cutting-edge AI and machine learning technologies to address complex accounting challenges faced by millions of small businesses and accountants globally. Your role will involve collaborating closely with your Product Manager and Engineering lead to identify and understand the most pressing problems our customers encounter. You will be tasked with creating beautiful, interactive prototypes and high-fidelity design artifacts that will be developed and launched in collaboration with the engineering team. This position is pivotal in ensuring that our design solutions not only meet user needs but also enhance the overall user experience of our products. In this role, you will be expected to deeply understand the customer you are designing for and advocate for their needs throughout the design process. You will work in a collaborative environment, engaging with Product Management, Product Engineering, and fellow designers to ensure that your designs are not only innovative but also practical and implementable. Your ability to rapidly explore ideas and complex interactions through prototypes will be crucial, as will your capacity to test hypotheses with end-users and key stakeholders. You will lead the design direction and execution for your work stream, ensuring that the final product features are not only usable but also valuable to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Design and launch beautiful, usable, and valuable product features
  • Deeply understand the customer you are solving for and advocate for that customer to all stakeholders
  • Collaborate successfully with Product Management, Product Engineering, and other designers
  • Rapidly explore ideas and complex interactions through prototypes
  • Test your hypotheses with end-users and key stakeholders
  • Lead design direction and execution for your work stream

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communication design, graphic design, Human-Computer Interaction or other relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in product design specializing in interaction design or related fields, preferably shipping digital products
  • Deep knowledge of user research methodologies and the ability to select appropriate methods to gather insights
  • Deep knowledge of interaction design principles, frameworks, and design systems
  • Deep knowledge of user experience design methods, design principles, and other frameworks
  • Good written and verbal communication skills; effective negotiator
  • Ability to build positive, collaborative relationships across teams
