About the position

The Senior Product Designer at Lattice will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our AI-powered people platform, which simplifies HR operations and enhances productivity for over 5,000 customers globally. The design team is dedicated to creating tools that empower managers to become leaders and employees to reach their full potential. As a Senior Product Designer, you will be responsible for designing complex user experience flows that span multiple products within our talent management suite, which includes performance reviews, engagement surveys, and real-time feedback mechanisms. You will work closely with product managers and engineers to define the future of our products, ensuring that every detail of your designs is implemented with high quality. In this role, you will leverage your excellent visual design skills to create impactful user interfaces that guide users through various states and pages of the product. You will collaborate with user research teams to gather customer feedback and incorporate it into your design process. Your ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, will be essential as you articulate customer challenges and design solutions. You will also be expected to engage in design critiques, sharing your work with peers and providing feedback on their designs. The team is currently around 40 members strong, encompassing Brand Design, Product Design, and Research. Responsibilities

  • Design complex user experience flows that impact multiple products in the suite.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and engineering teams to define product direction.
  • Ensure high-quality implementation of designs by working hand-in-hand with engineering throughout the development process.
  • Engage in design critiques, sharing work with other designers and providing constructive feedback.
  • Incorporate user research and customer feedback into design solutions.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of visual design principles and push the boundaries of the design system.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of visual design principles and excellent visual craft.
  • Experience designing complex user experience flows across multiple products.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven success working with established design systems.
  • Experience collaborating with user research teams and incorporating feedback into design work.
  • Ability to think strategically about product areas and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience writing front-end HTML and CSS or a strong understanding of it for meaningful conversations about implementation.
