About the position

SecurityScorecard is seeking an experienced Senior Product Designer to lead the design of engaging end-to-end experiences that enhance customer understanding and improvement of their cybersecurity posture. This role involves collaboration with product managers, engineers, and customer-facing teams, emphasizing a customer-first approach and evidence-based decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with product and engineering teams to design innovative cybersecurity features that are easily adopted and add value to customers.
  • Conducting and analyzing user research and market trends to inform decisions and optimize for value and usability.
  • Breaking down complex problems into user journeys, information architecture, and prototypes.
  • Leveraging behavioral principles to design experiences that are clear, approachable, and engaging.
  • Ownership of the end-to-end experience, even when it extends beyond the responsibilities of the immediate product team.
  • Giving and receiving feedback gracefully.
  • Sharing work frequently with the design and product teams, and beyond.

Requirements

  • Bachelors in HCI, Interaction Design or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of Product Design experience.
  • Experience designing web-based SaaS platforms.
  • Data visualization experience including dashboards, analytics, and reporting preferred.
  • Basic knowledge or experience with cybersecurity tools a plus.
  • Proven track record of solving hard problems and working on technical products.
  • In-depth knowledge of user experience, interaction design, and visual design.
  • Expertise in user research.
  • A portfolio of work demonstrating product design capabilities.
