As a Senior Product Designer at Paycom, you will play a pivotal role in leading the design of visual representations for both existing and new screens across the Paycom system. Your primary responsibility will be to produce high-quality mockups that adhere to Paycom's design standards for both mobile and web-based applications. This position requires a deep understanding of design principles and the ability to translate complex ideas into visually appealing and user-friendly designs. In this role, you will lead design projects across various modules and platforms, influencing the overall design strategy for the Paycom system. You will work closely with product and development teams to ensure that the design strategy aligns with the product vision. Your expertise will be crucial in determining product overlap and enhancing user experience when utilizing multiple components. You will guide the design process by collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring that the vision and execution are aligned. You will also be responsible for identifying potential conflicts or collisions between different products, platforms, and features, proposing effective solutions. Utilizing design systems and frameworks, you will create new design styles, patterns, and components. Your role will involve using research data and design principles to support and advocate for design decisions, as well as conducting usability testing and producing research reports to inform your designs. As a Senior Product Designer, you will maintain and recommend evolutions of current design styles, patterns, and components, considering future goals and product roadmaps. You will design for the holistic user experience, creating interactive prototypes and running usability tests on them. Conducting user interviews and assisting in user research will be part of your responsibilities, as will leading discussions and collaborations between cross-functional teams. Mentoring Associate and Product Designers will be a key aspect of your role, as you promote the department's vision and goals across the organization. You will lead meetings, present to cross-functional groups and senior leaders, and collect data using various techniques to inform your design products. Proactively learning new tools and proposing tech solutions will contribute to the culture of design-driven projects and initiatives throughout the company. Additionally, you may assist with special projects as needed.
