About the position

Come join the TurboTax design systems team as a Senior Product Designer. Our CG design system enables our design team to solve customer problems with speed, confidence, and scale. We ensure the end-to-end experience is future-facing, usable, and desirable to all, and feels as though it came from the hands of one designer. As a Senior Product Designer, you will play a crucial role in articulating complex visions through simple and novel designs, engaging with customers, and learning quickly through iterative prototyping. You will collaborate effectively with other designers, product managers, developers, and marketers to create a cohesive design experience. Your contributions will include soliciting feedback and participating constructively in design reviews, advancing a strong point of view backed by customer data, design rationale, personal expertise, and industry trends. You will also participate in customer research and apply insights to generate designs that deliver customer delight while self-organizing and managing multiple projects efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Articulate complex visions through simple and novel designs
• Engage with customers and learn quickly through iterative prototyping
• Collaborate effectively with other designers, product managers, developers, and marketers
• Solicit feedback and contribute constructively to design reviews
• Advance a strong point of view, backed up by customer data, design rationale, personal expertise, and industry trends
• Participate in customer research and apply insights to generate designs that deliver customer delight
• Self-organize and manage multiple projects efficiently

Requirements

• Customer-centric design mindset
• Passion for creating products that resonate on an emotional level and drive business results
• 7+ years of experience in product/interaction design, visual design a plus
• Experience designing for and working with design systems and reusable component libraries
• Online portfolio showing examples of real published work
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction Design, or other relevant field
• Deep knowledge of design principles and methods
• Expert at managing multiple project workstreams with complex timelines
• Creates a bold vision and has game-changing ideas in area of ownership
• Has a platform mindset, thinking in terms of reusable capabilities vs. one-off features
