About the position

The Hartford is seeking a talented and collaborative Senior Product Analyst to join our team and help shape the future of our Personal Lines Telematics offerings. This role is pivotal in evolving and developing new telematics products that cater to a diverse customer base while also supporting our existing demographic. As a Senior Product Analyst, you will work closely with the Product team, business teams, and technology partners to develop and implement innovative capabilities and product offerings. Your contributions will be essential in identifying opportunities to enhance customer experience and optimize product performance through a data-driven and iterative test-and-learn approach. In this fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for defining and executing go-to-market strategies for newly developed products, ensuring alignment with key stakeholders and partners. You will collaborate with the Data & Analytics Engineering team to build and improve operational data sets that drive our analytics and operational workflows. By leveraging multiple data sets, you will derive insights and metrics that support quick decision-making and identify key focus areas for product development. Your role will also involve developing and prioritizing user stories for Telematics based on business input, working alongside solutions architecture and technical delivery teams to design products and capabilities that meet business needs while maximizing efficiency. You will build strong relationships with Product Managers and Pricing teammates to understand unique state market nuances and develop creative solutions. Additionally, you will assist with filings for state insurance departments and maintain required manuals and materials to support pricing and policy revisions for the product management team. Your high-level analysis of competitors, product performance, and market issues will be crucial in driving our product strategy forward.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with key stakeholders and partners to define and execute go-to-market and communications strategies for newly developed products.
  • Collaborate with the Data & Analytics Engineering team to build and improve operational data sets that power analytics and operational workflows.
  • Leverage multiple data sets to derive insights and metrics that support identification of key focus areas and facilitate quick decision making.
  • Develop and prioritize user stories for Telematics based on business input.
  • Collaborate with solutions architecture and technical delivery teams to design products, platforms, and capabilities that meet business needs while maximizing efficiency.
  • Work with Product Development and IT teams to develop and implement new product offerings and capabilities that increase customer growth and retention.
  • Build strong relationships with Product Managers and Pricing teammates to understand unique state market nuances and develop creative solutions.
  • Assist with filings for state insurance departments.
  • Develop and maintain required manuals and materials in support of pricing and policy revisions for the product management team.
  • Provide high-level analysis of information regarding competitors, product performance, and general insurance and market issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 3 plus years of P&C insurance experience required.
  • Prior experience in Auto Telematics is a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills along with strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
  • Ability to research and analyze competitor filings, and evaluate regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in a product development environment utilizing Agile tools (Jira, Kanban, Scrum) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize various data to produce recommendations and actions.
  • Strong attention to detail, project management skills, and drive-for-results mentality, with the ability to multi-task and make decisions in a business context.
  • Solutions-oriented individual, with ability to think strategically and implement change.

Nice-to-haves
