About the position

The Senior Product Development Manager at PATTERN Beauty is responsible for overseeing the entire product development process for new product categories, from concept generation to market launch. The position requires collaboration with various teams and external partners to drive innovation and successful product launches.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive product roadmaps and timelines.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market gaps and opportunities.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure products align with consumer needs and market trends.
• Develop compelling presentations to effectively communicate product concepts, development plans, and progress updates to the leadership team.
• Use data-driven insights and compelling storytelling to build support and secure necessary resources.
• Explore emerging technologies and ingredients to develop innovative and differentiated products.
• Foster a culture of innovation within the product development team.
• Oversee the development of product formulations that meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct stability testing and shelf-life studies to ensure product quality and longevity.
• Develop packaging concepts that are visually appealing, functional, and align with the brand's aesthetic.
• Develop and implement rigorous testing protocols to assess product performance, safety, and efficacy.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, research and development, regulatory affairs, and manufacturing.
• Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and regulatory agencies.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the product development team.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in product development within the beauty industry, with a focus on hair care and skin care.
• Proven track record of successfully launching new products.
• Strong understanding of product formulation, testing, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
