About the position

The Senior Product Development Manager at Truist Financial is a leadership role focused on shaping and delivering strategic payment products. This position requires leveraging industry knowledge and systems expertise to guide stakeholders and ensure alignment with enterprise payment product objectives. The role involves managing both strategic and tactical aspects of digital payment products, overseeing the entire product lifecycle, and driving the development of innovative payment solutions that meet client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage both strategic and tactical aspects of consumer and small business digital payment products, ensuring adoption and usage through clearly defined KPIs.
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, including ideation, development, management, marketing, communication, commercialization, profitability, and risk management.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to drive the development and delivery of innovative payment solutions that meet client needs.
  • Develop and execute product strategy to deliver market-differentiated solutions for the Digital Payment Product Line.
  • Develop and commercialize new solutions, driving execution of programmatic changes impacting multiple products and partners.
  • Manage profitable client-focused solutions throughout the product lifecycle, evaluating performance and profitability of payment solutions.
  • Build and cultivate relationships within the broader team, engaging and collaborating across internal and external partners.
  • Successfully navigate the evolving industry landscape by monitoring competitors and identifying portfolio gaps.
  • Ensure effective regulatory, legal, compliance, change, and quality management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, or equivalent education or related training.
  • 7+ years of product management, finance, marketing, and strategy experience within financial services or digital payment product organizations.
  • Proven experience managing product portfolios in banking, online or mobile banking, and digital payment products.
  • Advanced project management, priority setting, execution, communication, presentation, and business acumen skills.
  • Experience with digital payment processing/networks and/or electronic payment systems as well as related infrastructure and emerging technology.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree or equivalent education and related training.
  • 10+ years of product management, finance, marketing, and strategy experience within financial services or payment organizations.
  • 5+ years of proven experience managing highly complex digital payment product portfolios such as The Clearing House Real Time payments, ACH, Wires, and Early Warning system - Zelle.
  • Completion of an advanced banking school program.
