About The Position

Emerald is a leader in building dynamic market platforms that integrate live events and media into uniquely rich experiences. We connect over 1.9 million customers across 142 events and 16 media properties each year. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Product Director to lead the strategy, development, and execution of our data and analytics products, focusing on our data warehouse and its associated applications. This role is crucial in driving data-driven decision-making across Emerald and empowering our business units with actionable insights.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a strong focus on data and analytics products.
  • Proven experience in building and managing data warehouses and related applications.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization techniques.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) preferred.
  • Familiarity with data governance and data privacy best practices preferred.
  • Experience in the events or media industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Define and champion the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Emerald's data warehouse and related data products, aligning with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with executive stakeholders across various business units to understand their data needs and translate them into detailed product requirements and user stories.
  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is constantly prioritized based on business value, dependencies, and strategic alignment.
  • Lead sprint planning sessions, define sprint goals, and ensure the engineering team has a clear understanding of priorities and deliverables.
  • Guide and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
  • Proactively communicate product updates, roadmap changes, and key performance indicators to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Track and analyze product performance, identify areas for improvement, and iterate on the product roadmap based on data and feedback.
