About the position

Product and Business Strategy Leaders at Google play a crucial role in uniting various teams across the organization to ensure optimal execution of products. This position is integral to scaling Google's operations at critical junctures, refining products and infrastructure through efficient execution, sound business judgment, and effective collaboration across different organizational lines. The responsibilities encompass a blend of strategy, operations, and communications, where the team partners with senior leadership to manage significant functions that span across existing organizations and deliver high-impact projects. The Geo team, specifically, is dedicated to creating the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful mapping services for users, including products like Maps, Earth, Street View, and the Google Maps Platform. With over a billion users relying on Maps services each month, the team is tasked with solving complex computer science challenges, designing intuitive product experiences, and enhancing the understanding of the real world. This role is pivotal in helping engineers, product managers, and UX designers build exceptional products that meet user needs and ensure their successful delivery. In this position, you will be expected to identify organizational problems and issues, define and lead programs and processes to address them, influence team members and executive management to take action, and establish operating processes and tools to manage the organization effectively and achieve its goals.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of experience in management consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a technology company.
  • Experience working with and analyzing data, and managing multiple cross-functional programs or projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree, PhD, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with R, SQL, spreadsheets, or similar analytics tools.
  • Experience working with product and engineering teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
