About the position

The Senior Product Manager for Access and Affordability Messaging & Marketing Analytics at Abbott plays a crucial role in the Diabetes Care division, focusing on developing and implementing strategies to enhance patient access to prescribed therapies. This position involves collaboration with various stakeholders to create effective marketing materials and analyze data to drive informed decisions, ultimately supporting patients in managing their diabetes effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Define and advance cost & coverage marketing strategy for a multi-billion dollar brand.
  • Lead the development of access and affordability messaging and promotional materials for HCPs, patients, and health systems.
  • Analyze claims data to identify patterns, trends, and correlations for better business decisions.
  • Partner with US Market Access, Sales Leadership, Brand, and Payer Solutions to identify access pull-through opportunities.
  • Leverage insights from cross-functional partners to enhance market leadership.
  • Identify opportunities for market research and lead projects to improve competitive performance.
  • Develop patient messaging and resources to support patients through access and affordability challenges.
  • Ensure all materials and tools are approved and implemented through the MLR process.
  • Understand and anticipate the implications of changing market access dynamics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 4-6 years of related experience, including at least one year in marketing or product management, or an MBA with 1-3 years of related experience.
  • Product management experience in medical products or services preferred.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, strategic planning, critical thinking, and market analysis.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree with at least 8 years of related experience, including two years in marketing or product management, or an MBA with 4+ years of related experience.
  • Expertise in working with large data sets and generating impactful insights.
  • Experience in highly cross-functional organizations.
  • Previous experience working with agencies on material creation preferred.
  • Experience in Life Science industries preferred.
  • Focus on Payer Marketing preferred.
  • Ability to develop materials in compliance with customer-facing team guidelines.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
