About the position

The Product Manager for the Checkout AI team at PayPal will play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of AI-driven checkout experiences, impacting over 400 million consumers and 30 million merchants globally. This position involves establishing a vision, defining a playbook, and driving a fast-paced experimental culture to enhance personalized shopping experiences. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, possess strong problem-solving skills, and have a passion for customer satisfaction, while collaborating across various teams to deliver innovative AI products.

Responsibilities

  • Define and build the next generation of AI-driven experiences at PayPal.
  • Drive product and platform vision, creating capabilities that add value to merchants and consumers.
  • Identify new unmet opportunities and gaps in the portfolio by analyzing the market and ecosystem.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to define personalization opportunities across the consumer journey.
  • Evangelize and communicate the product vision, roadmap, investment needs, risks, and opportunities with cross-functional teams and leaders.
  • Develop an experiments playbook to ensure constant learning and development of models and teams.
  • Execute with excellence in a cross-functional setting, building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Run lean experiments to improve KPIs and product performance.
  • Define and develop core data products needed for personalized experiences in collaboration with Data Science and Platform leadership.
  • Measure key AI Platform performance indicators to evaluate product value and performance.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in AI Product Development.
  • 4+ years of experience in Product Management with a track record of launching and scaling multiple 0-1 products.
  • Technical and business acumen in Identity, Data Normalization, and AI-driven personalization products.
  • Experience in defining and driving transformation initiatives.
  • Ability to inspire and mobilize all levels of the organization with product vision and data-centric thinking.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and establishing an iterative roadmap and experimentation culture.
  • Skilled in defining product and customer experience with high-quality business requirements and user stories.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or Masters in STEM fields.
  • Experience in e-commerce, checkout, payments, and/or risk domain.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to learning.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across geographies.
