The Kindle Content and Physical Books team at Amazon is seeking a passionate and visionary Senior Product Manager to innovate and enhance the customer experience for Books customers. This role encompasses end-to-end ownership of new features aimed at improving product availability and the reading experience. As the WW Senior Product Manager focused on product damage and defect reduction, you will be responsible for designing products that prevent damaged shipments and defects for our WW Print Books customers. This includes managing a closed-loop mechanism for damaged shipments, from product preparation to carrier performance, while considering the unique aspects of Books. In this position, you will collaborate with various Marketplace Points of Contact (POCs) to drive initiatives within the last mile defect reduction workstream. Your responsibilities will include designing metrics and KPIs, proposing tenets, identifying current customer gaps with central teams, and creating a roadmap for a defect-free supply chain. You will work closely with Amazon Logistics, Data Science, Finance, Transportation, and other internal stakeholders, owning the product roadmap strategy and execution. Your work will directly influence the shopping experience of millions of customers, making it essential to champion this vision across the company. The role requires you to have end-to-end ownership of last mile damage and defect reduction initiatives, ensuring alignment with Senior Leadership goals. You will partner with Amazon Logistics and Customer Excellence teams to minimize last mile delivery defects, think creatively to invent new mechanisms for defect identification, and design long-term supply chain strategies that enhance customer satisfaction while reducing costs. As the central voice of US Books to systems and operations leaders, you will advocate for supply chain initiatives and extend them beyond Books across the organization. Additionally, you will manage diverse stakeholder relationships to gain cross-functional support and expand the product scope to worldwide marketplaces, focusing on systemic and technical implementations.
