About the position

The Senior Product Manager for Card Transaction Processing at Galileo Financial Technologies is responsible for overseeing the product life cycle of card transaction processing features. This role focuses on enhancing transaction processing capabilities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering secure payment experiences. The ideal candidate will collaborate across departments to optimize processes and drive innovation in the card payment ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Own the product life cycle for card transaction processing features, from ideation to execution.
• Collaborate with engineering to build and optimize processes around card authorizations, clearings, settlements, and refunds.
• Work closely with engineering, compliance, legal, customer support, and external stakeholders to implement product enhancements.
• Gather and analyze feedback from customers and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation.
• Ensure all card processing solutions are PCI-DSS compliant and adhere to network-specific regulations.
• Track product KPIs, transaction performance, and customer usage to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager or relevant role, with specific experience in card transaction processing or payments.
• Strong understanding of the disputes and chargeback process, including knowledge of tools such as Ethoca and Verifi.
• Experience with card networks (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) and a solid grasp of the payment ecosystem.
• Familiarity with authorization, clearing, settlement, and other card transaction lifecycle processes.
• Experience with compliance (PCI-DSS, card network rules) in the payments industry.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, legal, and external partners.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in fintech or the payments industry.
• Prior experience working with dispute resolution platforms (e.g., Verifi, Ethoca) and other card transaction processing tools.
• Familiarity with API-driven payment processing systems.
