About the position

The Senior Product Manager at Grameen America will lead a portfolio of initiatives focused on optimizing core banking systems and enhancing digital payment functionalities. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, engaging with stakeholders, and continuously improving product offerings to better serve low-income women through microfinance solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Engage and manage a discovery and learning process with industry players to select appropriate vendors for repayment and disbursement channels.
  • Work closely with operations and technology functions to design, pilot, and roll out integrated repayment and disbursement channel options.
  • Set up a continuous improvement process for core systems, including reviews of SMS engagement and transaction channels.
  • Own relationships and manage a roadmap of feature requests with core technology vendors and partners.
  • Identify needs and design solutions for configuration improvements to the core loan banking MIS.
  • Design solutions for process innovation and automation to alleviate pain points in various processes.
  • Incorporate learnings and findings into future product design.
  • Manage the product development process in cross-discipline workstreams using collaboration tools and strategies.
  • Support Members throughout their Grameen journey and adapt the product portfolio as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; 4-8 years of prior Product Management or relevant experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to tell stories visually and with data.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with Members and colleagues.
  • Experience in planning and leading working sessions and user testing sessions.
  • Proven analytical skills for data collection, analysis, and visualization.
  • Proficiency in common data analysis tools and commitment to data-driven decision making.
  • Ability to handle stakeholder feedback gracefully.
  • Experience leading small, cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Spanish language skills
  • Prior knowledge of the US payments system
  • Prior knowledge of lending and/or microlending core banking MIS systems
  • Prior knowledge of microfinance principles and common practices.
