The Senior Product Manager - Digital & Marketing at Walgreens is responsible for the strategic development and management of new and existing features within the Key Product area. This role is pivotal in driving traffic, conversion, revenue growth, and profitability for the online channel. The Senior Product Manager will work closely with various departments, including IT, Marketing, and Merchandising, to ensure that product features align with the company's strategic goals and customer needs. In this position, the Senior Product Manager will review divisional sales goals and customer experiences, translating them into a logically sequenced and optimized action plan. They will develop a comprehensive product and feature roadmap, ensuring adherence to the plan while proactively identifying and resolving any strategic issues that may impair site functionality or the team's ability to meet its goals. This includes managing prioritization and trade-offs among merchandise, engineering, user experience, and customer support. The role also involves developing detailed product features, requirements, and implementation plans, while overseeing the existing functionality of the assigned area. The Senior Product Manager will identify customer segments with strong growth potential and opportunities for innovation, providing additional benefits to customers and profitability to the organization. They will gather input to define product concepts and develop strategies for growth, overseeing the implementation of features and being accountable for the end results of these strategies. Leading cross-functional teams, the Senior Product Manager will coordinate among a wide range of internal and external resources to ensure that product features are brought to market according to specifications. They will define and analyze markets, evaluate technologies, and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement. Additionally, the role requires performing business and financial analysis, building business cases to justify expenditures for product development, and acting as a subject matter expert and consultant to senior management and key stakeholders. The Senior Product Manager will also focus on developing and mentoring staff, fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace, and building strong internal relationships with technology and development teams to drive the implementation of new product features and strategies. They will keep abreast of industry best practices in e-commerce and maintain vendor relationships, ensuring that they understand how technological advancements can drive sales and enhance customer satisfaction.
