About the position

The Senior Product Manager for Digital & Marketing is responsible for the strategic development and management of product features that drive traffic, conversion, revenue growth, and profitability for Walgreens' online channel. This role involves collaboration with IT, Marketing, and Merchandising to ensure the successful implementation of product strategies and features.

Responsibilities

  • Review divisional sales goals and customer experience to create an optimized action plan.
  • Develop the product and feature roadmap for the area of expertise.
  • Oversee adherence to the product plan and proactively resolve strategic issues.
  • Manage prioritization and trade-offs among merchandise, engineering, user experience, and customer support.
  • Develop detailed product features, requirements, and implementation plans.
  • Identify customer segments with growth potential and innovate to improve profitability.
  • Gather input to define product concepts and develop growth strategies.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to envision and implement new product features.
  • Define and analyze markets, including pricing and merchandising strategies.
  • Perform business and financial analysis, building business cases for product expenditures.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and consultant to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop and mentor staff, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Identify industry best practices in ecommerce and build vendor relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years' experience in product management/business management in online technology, or a High School Diploma/GED with at least 7 years of experience.
  • At least 3 years' experience in consumer-facing online commerce.
  • At least 3 years' experience in product marketing, product/program management, business development, or management consulting.
  • Experience in ecommerce areas such as Content Tools, Search & Browse, SEO/SEM, or Cart and Checkout.
  • Experience with the product development lifecycle.
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels.
  • Experience analyzing and reporting data to identify trends and drive improvements.
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies within budget and timelines.
  • Experience identifying operational issues and implementing strategies to resolve them.
  • At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
  • At least 2 years of direct or indirect leadership experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or MBA.
  • At least 6 years' experience in product management/business management in online technology, or a High School Diploma/GED with at least 9 years of experience.
  • At least 5 years' experience in consumer-facing online commerce.
  • At least 5 years' experience in product marketing, product/program management, business development, or management consulting.
  • Experience in the retail industry.
  • Basic level skills in SQL.
  • Intermediate level skills in SQL.
