About the position

The Battle.net & Online Products organization is home to over 300 engineers, product managers, and designers dedicated to enhancing the technology that powers Blizzard Entertainment's games. This role as a Senior Product Manager for the Digital Shop is pivotal in ensuring that players have an engaging, exciting, and secure online shopping experience. You will be responsible for influencing millions of gamers through critical launches by collaborating with various game studios to position our web shop as the premier destination for players to browse, engage, and shop for the most epic entertainment experiences available online. Your role will involve owning and launching commerce features that allow players to discover both new and familiar games and products across various franchises and business models. In this position, you will develop a deep understanding of our players and their interactions with our shop, which will help in creating and reinforcing new experiences. You will work closely with a team of experts across Design, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and fellow Product Managers, all of whom are committed to discovering and executing the right solutions. This role is anticipated to be hybrid, allowing for both on-site and remote work, with the potential home studio located in Irvine, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Build a deep knowledge of the product by conducting market research, understanding our customers, and interviewing stakeholders to identify needs and opportunities.
  • Shape and communicate product requirements, and work cross-functionally to establish and own a feature-level vision and strategy.
  • Develop a roadmap for the product at the feature level, both for the near-term and an aspirational vision for future innovations.
  • Determine how to measure the feature's success based on measurable criteria that align with the feature's goals.
  • Collect and document business, functional, technical, and creative requirements for new features.
  • Collaborate with a team of cross-functional designers, engineers, quality assurance, and stakeholders to ensure project goals, objectives, milestones, and deliverables are achieved.
  • Develop schedules and own execution of plans, anticipating issues and making trade-offs to deliver a quality product.
  • Drive the analysis of the impact of new features or A/B tests, partnering with data scientists for complex analysis while also engaging directly with the data.

Requirements

  • Experience in an Ecommerce product line with a deep understanding of the funnel and how to optimize the user journey.
  • Strong familiarity with A/B testing and other conversion optimization techniques.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a product manager, building world-class platforms and services.
  • Ability to succeed within an ever-changing environment, pushing the bleeding edge of new features while maintaining reliability and stability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a love for collaboration.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering large projects across multiple organizations.
  • Highly technical background and deep understanding of APIs and back-end systems.
  • Unrelenting self-motivation and initiative; enthusiastic 'can-do' attitude is a must.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience building out production infrastructure of an ecommerce platform that serves millions of customers daily.
  • Expertise in JIRA, Confluence, or comparable team collaboration applications.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated passion for games.
