About the position

As a Senior Product Manager Digital (SPMD) at AES Clean Energy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategy and roadmap for our digital products that support the renewables business unit. This position requires a strong background in product management, particularly in the implementation and enhancement of business systems software platforms. You will be responsible for developing and executing the product strategy, ensuring that it aligns with stakeholder needs and business objectives. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams, including Continuous Improvement, Development, Engineering, and Digital teams, to translate their needs into actionable product requirements. You will lead a team of developers and product analysts, guiding them through the product development lifecycle while ensuring that all features meet quality standards and acceptance criteria. In this dynamic environment, you will thrive on the challenges of managing a diverse set of internal customers and their varying needs. You will be expected to operate using Agile methodologies, defining sprint cycles, and utilizing tools like Jira to manage tasks and track progress. Your ability to leverage data and analytics will be crucial in making informed product decisions and identifying areas for improvement. As a technical leader, you will provide guidance to your team, ensuring that they have a clear understanding of the product's technical details and how they relate to business goals. Responsibilities

• Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for platforms supporting business processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable product requirements.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to support the development process.
• Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring it is prioritized and aligned with the product roadmap.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the local applications team and product developers.
• Assign tasks to product analysts and developers based on team capacity and business needs.
• Leverage data and analytics to make informed product decisions and implement enhancements.

Requirements

• College Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• 7-10 years' demonstrated experience in the implementation and support of business systems software platforms
• Proven experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or similar role in product management
• Strong understanding of Agile Methodologies (Scrum or Kanban) and experience working in Agile teams
• Broad technical acumen including comfort with relational databases and data structures
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects of differing priorities and deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with autonomy in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with Jira is a plus.
