About the position

The Senior Product Manager Digital (SPMD) at AES Clean Energy will be responsible for developing the strategy and roadmap for software solutions that support the renewables business unit. This role involves managing enterprise-level technology products, collaborating with various teams to enhance existing software, and leading a team of developers in a fast-paced environment. The SPMD will utilize Agile methodologies to define sprint cycles and ensure the delivery of high-quality features that meet stakeholder needs.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for platforms supporting business processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable product requirements.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to support the development process.
  • Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring it is prioritized and aligned with the product roadmap.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the applications team and product developers.
  • Assign tasks to product analysts and developers based on team capacity and business needs.
  • Leverage data and analytics to make informed product decisions.

Requirements

  • College Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  • 7-10 years' demonstrated experience in the implementation and support of business systems software platforms
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or similar role in product management
  • Strong understanding of Agile Methodologies (Scrum or Kanban)
  • Broad technical acumen including comfort with relational databases and data structures
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with Jira is a plus.
