About the position

The Senior Product Manager for Google Distributed Cloud, Storage will lead the development and launch of innovative cloud storage solutions. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and business acumen to guide products from conception to market, ensuring they meet customer needs and align with market trends. The position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to analyze, position, and promote products that enhance user access to information.

Responsibilities

• Lead Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) by collaborating with partner teams during product design and development.
• Identify GDC customer pain points and propose solutions to meet workload needs.
• Work closely with Engineering to establish a synergistic partnership throughout the product life-cycle.
• Drive external hardware and software partnerships required to launch successful GDC storage products.
• Create collateral with prescriptive guidance for Google Cloud go-to-market teams to successfully position and promote products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
• 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
• Experience in Cloud storage and the overall public cloud ecosystem.

Nice-to-haves

• MBA degree.
• Experience in hybrid product development, spanning on-premises to the public cloud.
• Experience across multiple functional areas such as product management, engineering, customer enablement, product marketing.
• Experience in enterprise storage technologies.
• Knowledge of AI training and inferencing workloads.
