About the position

As a Product Manager on the Growth team at MongoDB, you will collaborate with design, engineering, analytics, and marketing to enhance user experiences and drive business objectives. Your role will involve identifying customer pain points, developing hypotheses, and testing innovative solutions to improve paid customer conversion and revenue generation.

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to boost user success and conversion to paid customers through engagement improvements, platform feature expansion, conversion optimization, and discovery of new growth areas.
  • Partner with Design, Marketing, Engineering, and Analytics to develop and implement high-impact solutions that align our products with user needs.
  • Conduct research, gather user feedback, and analyze competitive insights to uncover pain points, barriers to adoption, and business opportunities. Share findings to inform strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Product team to shape the long-term vision and strategy for MongoDB's products in alignment with business goals.
  • Analyze and optimize key funnels and metrics to maximize user success and business impact.
  • Drive execution by managing trade-offs, mitigating risks, and ensuring clear communication across teams.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop a roadmap that enhances customer experience at all touchpoints.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of Product Management experience.
  • Experience in Growth (Activation, Retention, Monetization) is a plus.
  • Passion for MongoDB and a strong focus on solving developer challenges.
  • Growth-oriented mindset with the ability to balance speed, user experience, and learning.
  • Strategic and detail-oriented thinker, capable of innovating or optimizing processes as needed.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Data-driven approach with a deep understanding of product impact and customer needs.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Background in software engineering, technical education, or UI/UX design is a plus.
