About the position

Axsome Therapeutics, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to developing and delivering innovative therapies for the management of central nervous system (CNS) disorders. The company is based in New York City and is comprised of a lean, dynamic team committed to addressing the unmet needs of patients suffering from CNS disorders. Axsome is currently seeking a Senior Product Manager for HCP Marketing, who will play a pivotal role in developing and executing marketing strategies and tactics for AXS-07, a potential new therapy aimed at treating acute migraine. In this role, the Senior Product Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing HCP marketing initiatives that align with the brand's strategies and objectives. This position requires collaboration across various functions, including Sales, Market Access, Data & Market Analytics, and other internal and external partners. The individual will report directly to the Director of Marketing and will be based at Axsome's headquarters in New York City, with an on-site requirement of at least three days per week. It is important to note that the company is unable to consider candidates seeking fully remote roles. The responsibilities of the Senior Product Manager include contributing to the development of marketing plans for AXS-07, leading the integrated brand plan, creating programs and tactics to support the strategy, and executing tactical marketing plans focused on HCP audiences. The individual will also be tasked with identifying appropriate measurements and ROI, developing comprehensive reporting to evaluate the effectiveness of tactical efforts, and managing key agency partners. Additionally, the role involves leading reviews of promotional materials with Regulatory, Legal, and Medical teams, collaborating with various departments, identifying strategic market opportunities, and managing timelines and budgets in accordance with the brand plan.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of the marketing plans for AXS-07 and champion the plan through engagement with internal and external partners.
  • Lead portions of the development of the integrated brand plan, create programs and tactics to support the strategy, and execute the tactical marketing plans focused on HCP audiences.
  • Identify appropriate measurements & ROI, and develop comprehensive reporting to evaluate effectiveness of tactical efforts.
  • Effectively manage key agency partners.
  • Lead reviews of promotional materials with Regulatory/Legal/Medical.
  • Collaborate effectively with sales & marketing, market access, market research, medical affairs, commercial operations, data & analytics, finance, and other cross-functional partners.
  • Identify strategic market opportunities and make recommendations to enhance brand penetration.
  • Develop mid- to long-range plan for future indications.
  • Manage timelines and budgets in accordance with brand plan.

Requirements

  • BA or BS required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Migraine experience strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology marketing, with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience successfully executing HCP-focused campaigns.
  • Ability to work on site Monday, Tuesday & Thursday.
