About the position

As the Senior Product Manager on the marriott.com homepage team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the digital experience for millions of customers worldwide. This position is critical and highly visible, requiring a hands-on approach to support the team's feature delivery and optimizations. You will be responsible for creating detailed product documentation, analyzing performance data to extract insights, and guiding the daily activities of a cross-functional team to ensure the delivery of a high-quality product. In this role, you will collaborate with design, engineering, and line-of-business teams as a cross-functional leader to drive the execution of the product roadmap. You will produce essential artifacts such as epics and user stories that support the execution of the product roadmap. Your responsibilities will include combining data analytics, product metrics, user experience research, competitive and market analysis, and company goals to inform the prioritization of the product backlog. You will track and analyze metrics compared to industry benchmarks and publish reports on product performance, trends, and risks/opportunities for both short and long-term strategies. Additionally, you will define A/B and/or multi-variate tests to validate new ideas and features, perform User Acceptance Testing per release requirements, and coordinate the backlog for defect resolution. You will help define new product features or optimizations of existing products and incorporate them into the roadmap, ensuring that the products and services deliver frictionless and innovative experiences. Your ability to create concise, compelling business cases will be crucial in gaining buy-in from managers and senior leaders.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major, or equivalent experience/education.
  • 5+ years' experience in digital products/technology, sales and marketing, management operations, or related professional area.
  • 3+ years' product management experience.
  • 1+ years' eCommerce experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Demonstrable experience working in an Agile/Scrum software development environment.
  • Ability to produce actionable product requirements documents, epics, and user stories.
  • Experience distilling a high-level product roadmap into an actionable delivery schedule.
  • Ability to articulate a product vision, business objective, or status update clearly.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to brainstorm solutions with different functions.
  • Experience with Adobe Suite including Adobe Analytics, Adobe Experience Manager, and Adobe Target.
  • Digital product experience driving successful business outcomes for commerce or content products, preferably in travel and hospitality.
