About the position

The Senior Product Manager II for Commerce Product Insights at Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is responsible for building tools and capabilities for real-time monitoring and alerting across the Commerce, Growth, and Identity systems. This role involves assessing the performance of large-scale distributed systems, including payment processing and fraud detection systems, to provide insights that enhance customer experience and business value. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and aims to drive growth and innovation in Disney's media business.

Responsibilities

• Design and build automated real-time dashboards to monitor and track performance of commerce systems.
• Create and embed trigger-based alerts for anomaly detection in real-time dashboards, identifying critical issues impacting system performance.
• Improve data capture methods into existing tools like Adobe Analytics, Looker, and Tableau.
• Partner with engineering teams to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve anomalies, restoring system health.
• Collaborate with product teams to provide insights and recommendations for system performance improvement and enhanced customer experience.
• Establish critical metrics for key system performance and develop a regular review cadence with senior leadership.
• Make independent decisions while balancing collaboration and push-back as needed.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant work experience in direct-to-consumer, e-commerce, finance/fintech, media, and/or subscription services.
• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with data visualization to demonstrate trends and patterns to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with processing large, complex data sets and deriving actionable insights.
• Expertise with structured or unstructured databases, and data processing languages such as SQL and Python.
• Ability to weave data into a narrative and recommend constructive next steps.
• Exceptional communication skills for small and large group discussions and presentations.
• Experience with anomaly detection, machine learning, and AI capabilities at a large scale is a plus.
