About the position
The Senior Product Manager (Technical) will lead the product management for Amazon Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka (MSK), focusing on driving the feature roadmap and ensuring alignment with customer needs. This role involves collaboration with engineering teams and various business units to deliver innovative solutions in the real-time data streaming space, supporting AWS's overall big data platforms.
Responsibilities
- Drive product management for Amazon Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka (MSK).
- Own the feature roadmap based on customer needs and business goals.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to translate ideas into reality.
- Work closely with finance, marketing, and business development to position the service effectively.
- Ensure delivery of features that support business objectives and customer use cases.
- Exhibit strong decision-making skills to prioritize features and improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of technical product management experience in an internet business.
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager.
- 3+ years of technical experience in software development, network development, or IT.
- Experience in taking a product from conception through engineering design to market.
- Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS, or LaaS products throughout the full product lifecycle.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of engineering practices for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
- Experience with agile methodologies in software product delivery.
