About the position
The Senior Product Manager (Technical) will drive the vision and feature roadmap for Amazon Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka (MSK), enabling businesses to innovate with real-time data solutions. This role involves collaboration with engineering teams and various stakeholders to ensure the service meets customer needs and aligns with AWS's overall big data platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and a customer-centric approach, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Drive product management for Amazon Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka (MSK).
- Own the feature roadmap based on customer needs in partnership with engineering teams.
- Work closely with finance, marketing, and business development to position the service effectively.
- Ensure delivery aligns with business goals and supports compelling use cases.
- Exhibit strong decision-making skills to prioritize features and improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of technical product management experience in internet business.
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager.
- 3+ years of technical experience in software development, network development, or IT.
- Experience in taking a product from conception through engineering design to market.
- Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS, or LaaS products throughout the full product lifecycle.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of engineering practices for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
- Experience with agile methodologies in software product delivery.
