About the position
The Senior Product Manager for Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka (MSK) at Amazon Web Services (AWS) will lead the product management efforts for the service, focusing on driving the feature roadmap and ensuring alignment with customer needs. This role involves collaboration with engineering teams and various business units to deliver innovative solutions in the Real Time data streaming space, supporting AWS customers in building advanced data-reactive solutions without operational overhead.
Responsibilities
- Drive product management for Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka (MSK).
- Own the feature roadmap based on customer needs and business goals.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to translate ideas into reality.
- Work closely with finance, marketing, and business development to ensure effective service positioning and messaging.
- Support the delivery of large-scale SaaS, PaaS, or LaaS products throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of technical product management experience in an Internet business.
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager.
- 3+ years of technical experience in software development, network development, or IT.
- Experience in taking a product from conception through engineering design to market.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS, or LaaS products.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
- Experience with agile methodologies in software product delivery.
