About the position
The Senior Product Manager (Technical) will drive product management for Amazon Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka (MSK), focusing on building features and services that meet customer needs in the real-time data streaming space. This role involves collaborating with engineering teams, finance, marketing, and business development to ensure effective service positioning and delivery aligned with business goals. The ideal candidate will be customer-centric, possess strong technical and business judgment, and excel in communication, decision-making, and prioritization.
Responsibilities
- Drive product management for Amazon Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka (MSK).
- Own the feature roadmap in partnership with engineering teams.
- Work closely with finance, marketing, and business development to position the service effectively.
- Ensure delivery aligns with business goals and supports compelling use cases.
- Exhibit excellent decision-making skills, prioritizing between existing and new customers, features, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- 5+ years of technical product management experience in internet business.
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager.
- 3+ years of technical experience in software development, network development, or IT.
- Experience in taking a product from conception through engineering design to market.
- Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS, or LaaS products throughout the full product lifecycle.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of engineering practices for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
- Experience working in teams delivering software products using agile methodologies.
