About the position

The Senior Product Manager for Network Security at Google Cloud is responsible for guiding products from conception to launch, focusing on the intersection of technical and business aspects. This role involves collaborating with various teams to develop innovative solutions that enhance network security for cloud services. The position requires a deep understanding of networking and security needs, as well as the ability to manage product roadmaps and engage with customers and stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Understand service provider networks and network security needs both in the cloud and on premise.
  • Understand cloud networking and network security basics, markets, competition, and trends.
  • Work with service provider ecosystem, cloud networking, and network security ecosystem or other cloud products, services or technologies.
  • Drive projects through their entire life-cycle (e.g., requirements, design, development, launch, landing).
  • Manage the overall roadmap by prioritizing requests from customers, the sales organization, and engineering teams across GCP.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
  • Experience with Networking, Network Architecture, Networking Protocols, Software Architecture.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
  • 5 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.
  • 5 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
  • 4 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
  • 3 years of experience in software development or engineering.
  • 3 years of people management experience with direct reports, and in technical leadership.
