About the position

The Senior Product Manager - Product Management Transformation role at Johnson Controls is designed for a dynamic and experienced leader who will drive the evolution of product management practices within the organization. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive product management transformation strategy that aligns with the company's vision and objectives
  • Identify and implement best practices in product management, including agile methodologies, to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Mentor and coach product managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure cohesive product development and delivery
  • Drive innovation by identifying market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform product strategy
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of product management initiatives and drive accountability
  • Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and tools across the organization
  • Advocate for the customer by ensuring that product decisions are data driven and customer-centric.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of leading product management transformations
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and product lifecycle management
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
