About the position

The Senior Product Manager for Siplast Single Ply Roofing at GAF will oversee the management of the Siplast Single Ply product portfolio, focusing on product and brand management within the commercial roofing sector. This role involves developing B2B marketing strategies, executing new product introductions, and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to drive sales and enhance product offerings. The position is designed for individuals looking to build a career in marketing or general management, with opportunities for long-term leadership development.

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with R&D, Manufacturing, and Sales to identify and execute new product introductions.
  • Position multiple technologies across the product offering.
  • Collaborate with external contractors, internal sales teams, technical teams, and training teams to qualify new products.
  • Identify new application methods for products in collaboration with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Evaluate opportunities to grow sales within the current product offering by working closely with Sales and customers.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of training materials including videos, brochures, presentations, and web pages.
  • Ensure a steady supply of product while minimizing risk by working with Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Supply Chain.
  • Maintain cross-functional team alignment on strategic projects involving R&D, Codes and Approvals, Marketing, Purchasing, Innovation, Master Data Management, Manufacturing & Logistics.
  • Ensure all documentation including packaging, websites, product/safety data, and other product information is up to date.
  • Develop a strategic marketing agenda and apply creativity to realize it through promotions, videos, literature, samples, advertising, and merchandising.
  • Identify and realize business improvements on enhancement of mix and profitability.

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience in product management in a B2B & B2C marketing setting.
  • Self-starter and fast learner with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to present and interface directly with sales teams and customers.
  • Strong project management and multi-tasking skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in commercial roofing, specifically TPO, PVC and/or PVC-KEE is preferred but not mandatory.
  • MBA preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Suite.
