About the position

The Senior Product Manager for AWS Bill Computation is responsible for leading the development and management of complex pricing models for AWS services. This role involves collaborating with various teams to enhance the billing platform, which processes vast amounts of data to generate invoices for billions of dollars globally. The product manager will define the strategic vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with customer needs and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Define the strategic vision and long-term roadmap for AWS Billing, working backwards from customer needs.
• Lead internal technical discussions, outlining technical designs and trade-offs between cost and business value.
• Represent the reasons behind architecture decisions for products or features, applying strong data-driven judgment.
• Partner with leaders in the design, development, and delivery of software systems and features.
• Influence adjacent teams' roadmaps and collaborate on approaches and prioritization.
• Create success measurements linked to desired customer outcomes and set goal targets for these measurements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical product management experience in an Internet business.
• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager.
• 3+ years of technical experience in software development, network development, IT, or related fields.
• Experience in taking a product from conception through engineering design to market.
• Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS, or LaaS products, responsible for the full product lifecycle.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
• Experience working within teams delivering software products using agile methodologies.
