About the position

The AWS Field Experiences (AFX) organization is seeking a passionate and innovative leader to develop and manage products that optimize and automate AWS Global Sales processes. This role focuses on improving sales efficiency, driving adoption of AWS services, and enhancing customer engagement through data-driven insights and automation. The ideal candidate will thrive in ambiguous environments, possess strong product management skills, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with AWS Global Sales to understand pain points and needs in the sales function.
  • Define customer personas and journeys, identify critical use cases, and brainstorm related product ideas.
  • Author detailed working backwards documents to review product ideas with senior executives.
  • Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap, and articulate clear product requirements and UX.
  • Explore ways to leverage Generative AI in product development.
  • Define product goals and success metrics, manage prioritization, and evaluate trade-offs.
  • Act as the voice of the customer and work with engineering, data, and science teams to execute the roadmap.
  • Own business reporting for senior management review on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Leverage strong communication skills and data analytical capabilities to drive business decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of product management experience in a related industry.
  • Proven track record of shipping complex, high-quality, enterprise-scale software products/services.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or a Master's degree in a technical discipline preferred.
  • Prior experience in managing technical products, cloud-based services.
  • Experience designing, building, and launching software products from 0 to 1.
  • Experience with UX design, agile development lifecycle, and data analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of product management best practices.
  • Prior experience in sales/sales ops function is a plus.
  • Prior experience in engineering, data, or science is a plus.
  • Prior experience in Generative AI technologies is a plus.
