About the position

The Senior Product Manager - Technical for Auto Scaling at AWS is responsible for defining and delivering innovative cloud solutions that enable customers to build highly elastic and scalable applications. This role involves collaborating with various teams to create a product roadmap that enhances customer experiences and addresses their challenges in scaling applications effectively.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their requirements, gather feedback, and ensure the product meets their needs.
• Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for Auto Scaling that aligns with the overall business goals.
• Create and maintain a detailed product roadmap, prioritizing features based on customer needs, market trends, and business impact.
• Work closely with engineering, UX, marketing, and sales teams to deliver high-quality features on time.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats, and adjust the product strategy accordingly.
• Define and track key metrics to measure the success of the product and inform future decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical product management with Internet business experience
• 5+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager
• 3+ years of technical experience in software development, network development, IT, or related fields
• Experience in taking a product from conception and definition phase through engineering design and market launch
• Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS, or LaaS products with full product lifecycle responsibility
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle
• Experience working within teams delivering software products and features using agile methodologies
• MBA or Masters in Computer Science or engineering field.
