About the position

As a Senior Product Manager - Technical within the AWS Investments team, you will play a pivotal role in connecting the field with essential resources to enhance customer acquisition, growth, and retention. This position is part of the AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) division, where our mission is to power significant sales and marketing programs at AWS, including Startup Activate and Enterprise Migrations. Our team is responsible for investing billions annually in cash, credits, and time to ensure positive customer outcomes. In this role, you will focus on Partner programs and their integration onto our platform. You will adopt a customer-centric approach, working backwards to deliver high-quality, durable, and scalable solutions. Your responsibilities will include defining strategies, evangelizing them across a broad group of stakeholders, executing these strategies, and removing any blockers that may arise. You will be tasked with ensuring that the strategies yield the desired outcomes, learning and iterating quickly when they do not, and doubling down on successful initiatives. Additionally, you will contribute positively to the team culture and performance, fostering an environment where innovation and collaboration thrive. In this role, you will drive the execution of all processes in the product lifecycle, including product and market research, competitor analysis, planning, positioning, requirements and roadmap development, and product launch. You will translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping and final development by engineering teams, create comprehensive product strategy documents, and analyze market data to develop effective adoption strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the execution of all processes in the product lifecycle, including product and market research, competitor analysis, planning, positioning, requirements and roadmap development, and product launch.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping and final development by engineering teams.
  • Create product strategy documents that clearly describe customer problems, business use cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI.
  • Analyze market data to develop adoption strategies and define product objectives for effective marketing communications.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product operations, and enablement teams in the development, QA, and release of products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience managing technical products or online services
  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
  • MBA
  • Expertise in Go-To-Market platform, tools, and process.
