About the position

The Senior Product Manager-Technical Products role at Amazon focuses on leading the development and management of EC2's accelerated computing instances, which utilize advanced technologies like GPUs and FPGAs to enhance deep learning, AI, and high-performance computing applications. The position involves collaborating with various teams to deliver innovative products that meet customer needs and drive the future of cloud computing.

Responsibilities

  • Developing detailed and crisp business requirements for product specifications and service architecture
  • Engaging with AWS customers, sales, and business development teams to understand customer feedback and pain points
  • Working closely with engineering teams, design, and program management in an agile environment to deliver products to market
  • Managing prioritization and trade-offs between customer experience, performance, and operational support
  • Driving product launches, including collaboration with public relations, executives, finance, marketing, and legal stakeholders
  • Proactively identifying and resolving issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals
  • Defining high-quality roadmaps based on team strategy and vision
  • Interfacing and partnering with all levels of AWS and Amazon business leadership

Requirements

  • BS degree in computer science or electrical engineering
  • 10+ years of technical product management with internet business experience
  • Experience delivering technology products/services in a high growth environment
  • Strong track record of delivering compelling products
  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues simply and convincingly to a wide range of audiences
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and drive focus within a talented team

Nice-to-haves

  • An MBA and a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Great analytic and problem-solving skills
