About the position

The Senior Product Manager - Technical for Strategic Sourcing at Amazon.com Services LLC is responsible for enhancing access to supply for Amazon customers by developing and executing a product roadmap. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, a good understanding of supply chain fundamentals, and a passion for improving customer experiences. The position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, manage product requirements, and communicate effectively with senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Own all aspects of improving access to supply for Amazon.com, including measurement, execution, and product management.
  • Lead data deep dives with business intelligence and science partners to identify new opportunities.
  • Manage the product roadmap, driving effective product discussions and defining clear product requirements.
  • Oversee the business aspects of the product, including metrics and reporting.
  • Manage timelines for software and service releases, supporting the launch of new products.
  • Communicate regularly with senior management on product status, risks, and updates.
  • Perform or commission market research, usability studies, and focus groups to identify and solve user problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience owning and driving roadmap strategy and definition.
  • Experience with feature delivery and understanding tradeoffs of a product.
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy.
  • Experience managing technical products or online services.
  • Experience representing and advocating for critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning.
  • Experience performing statistical analysis of data using SQL, Excel, and other tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using analytical tools such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight.
  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools.
  • Familiarity with system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making.
