About the position

VIZIO's Product Management team is seeking a Senior Product Manager for TV products. This role involves researching new features, contributing to product specifications, and collaborating with various teams to enhance the premium TV product line, directly impacting the company's product roadmap. The successful candidate will manage the product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life, ensuring alignment across multiple stakeholders and maintaining technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze competitive landscape and define product specifications.
• Create documentation for new and existing products.
• Plan product strategy for premium and mainstream product lines to expand sales volume.
• Build product feature specifications and contribute to feature PRDs for ODM RFPs and VQA testing.
• Evaluate product features with engineering and software teams to define product behavior and performance goals.
• Manage product lifecycle from concept to EOL, collaborating with stakeholders across various teams.
• Ensure timely transitions in NPI milestones with key technology partners and ODMs.
• Contribute to technical roadmaps for future product features and specifications.
• Communicate technical specifications to management, sales, marketing, and third-party vendors.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and presentation materials for product roadmaps.
• Drive execution of product specification projects from inception to reporting.
• Research new feature specifications in picture quality, audio, networking, and related categories.
• Collaborate with ODMs and vendors to clarify product feature requests and specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• 2+ years of product management and consumer electronics product experience.
• Preferred experience in the TV or display industry.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good technical knowledge of TV product specifications and features, including WiFi, Bluetooth, streaming technologies, and audio/video codecs.
• Experience with technical requirements for Dolby, DTS, HDMI, ATSC, Wi-Fi, BT, and app partners (Netflix, Amazon, Apple TV).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.
• Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and projects with cross-functional stakeholders.
