About the position

As a Senior Product Manager for the Vector Data Type at Snowflake, you will lead the strategy, development, and execution of innovative AI and ML features within our cloud data platform. This role focuses on integrating cutting-edge technologies to enhance enterprise capabilities, particularly through the use of vector data types and associated functions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet customer needs and drive product performance.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product roadmap for AI/ML features at Snowflake, focusing on vector data type applications.
  • Lead the product strategy for integrating semantic vector capabilities into Snowflake offerings.
  • Identify and motivate discovery of opportunities in the AI/ML space for the native vector data type and adjacent operations.
  • Drive product development from conception to launch, emphasizing price-performance.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies and support sales enablement.
  • Measure and analyze product performance to inform future product decisions and improvements.
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into product design.

Requirements

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline; advanced degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, ideally focused on data science, machine learning/AI, or related technologies.
  • Strong self-starter attitude with experience in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Familiarity with vector and matrix operations in scientific computing use-cases.
  • Strong understanding of databases, SQL concepts, and/or distributed systems.
  • Experience in conducting market research and customer discovery, translating insights into a product roadmap.
  • Strong data manipulation and analysis skills, including SQL and Python.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with financial data analysis, recommendation systems, clustering/classification.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
