About the position

The Senior Product Manager for the Assessment Product team is responsible for leading the development and execution of a new assessment product. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage the product roadmap, conduct market research, gather user feedback, and ensure the product meets stakeholder needs. The Senior Product Manager will also engage with sales and marketing to accurately represent the product in the market and support customer engagement strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead team meetings and customer conversations to drive product direction.
  • Conduct market research to identify educator needs and recommend roadmap enhancements.
  • Collect user feedback through interviews, focus groups, and surveys.
  • Manage product feature development and cross-product integrations with internal teams and vendors.
  • Own the relationship with Sales and Marketing to ensure accurate product representation.
  • Formulate and execute a customer engagement strategy, including leading customer forums.
  • Collaborate with the proposal team to create compelling proposal text and inform pricing strategies.
  • Manage risks associated with product readiness and identify mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain and extend the product roadmap for transparency across the organization.
  • Develop the overall product plan including deliverables, milestone dates, and resource needs.
  • Write clear acceptance criteria to support all stages of the product life cycle.
  • Support the creation of new business cases associated with the product.
  • Collect and manage key performance indicators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 8 years of product management experience required.
  • 3+ years of experience developing academic assessment or instructional products required.
  • Experience using project and product management software preferred.
