About the position

As part of Caterpillar Inc.'s Technical Product Management team, this role focuses on developing the next generation of digital solutions aimed at enhancing enterprise growth in aftermarket parts and services. The position involves collaborating with various stakeholders to define product requirements, manage the product backlog, and oversee project life-cycle costs while ensuring effective communication and decision-making throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering, Data and Analytics Architects & Platform Architects to define functional and non-functional requirements.
• Manage product backlog, priorities, and stakeholder communications.
• Make decisions regarding feature priority, acceptance criteria, and target releases.
• Create and manage project life-cycle cost estimates and tracking.
• Communicate and manage business requestor expectations.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a product owner or product manager in the software space.
• Knowledge of business analysis techniques and tools to identify business needs and recommend solutions.
• Understanding of decision-making processes and ability to analyze situations for productive decisions.
• Effective communication skills to transmit and interpret ideas and information accurately.
• Knowledge of software product business aspects, including managing install base and product vision.
