About the position

The Senior Product Manager for the Assessment Product team at Pearson is responsible for leading the development and execution of a new assessment product. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing the product roadmap, conducting market research, and ensuring the product meets stakeholder needs. The Senior Product Manager will also engage with customers, manage product feature development, and oversee marketing strategies to ensure successful product launch and adoption.

Responsibilities

• Lead team meetings and customer conversations to drive product direction.
• Conduct market research to identify educator needs and recommend roadmap enhancements.
• Collect user feedback through interviews, focus groups, and surveys to represent the voice of the customer.
• Manage product feature development and cross-product integrations to ensure timely delivery.
• Own the relationship with Sales and Marketing to accurately describe the product in the market.
• Formulate and execute a customer engagement strategy for onboarding and support.
• Collaborate with the proposal team to create compelling proposal text and inform pricing strategies.
• Manage risks associated with product readiness and identify mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8 years of product management experience required.
• 3+ years of experience developing academic assessment or instructional products required.
• Experience using project and product management software preferred.
