About the position

Republic is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the development and management of our banking-grade infrastructure, which includes APIs and integrations with various partners in payment processing, KYC (Know Your Customer), currency conversion, anti-money laundering, and fraud prevention. This role is crucial for managing cash flows and ensuring the integrity of our financial operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced and innovative environment, guiding the business through complex global expansion initiatives and platform consolidations. This position is based in our New York City office, where you will collaborate closely with a talented team of engineers and designers to bring new products to market. As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for leading the ideation, development, and launch of products on our marketplace platform. You will act as an evangelist for agile methodologies, having implemented and worked in various forms of agile practices. Your role will involve inspiring a first-class team to execute on product visions while partnering with the wider business team to identify key questions and problems that need solving. You will engage in rapid prototyping and design, integrating both qualitative and quantitative analyses into the development process. Your ability to define and analyze metrics that measure the success of your products will be essential. In this position, you will be an agent of change, always looking to simplify processes and deliver value quickly. You will need a strong background in Computer Science or Engineering, or relevant experience working directly with engineering teams. With over 5 years of experience as a Product Manager managing technical products, you will bring a master-level understanding of Agile frameworks and be able to adapt your approach based on the situation. While experience in Fintech and building banking systems is not mandatory, it is highly valued. Your solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and professional communication abilities will be key to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ideation, development, and launch of products on our marketplace platform.
• Act as an evangelist and expert of agile methodology, implementing and working in its various forms.
• Inspire and lead a first-class team of engineers and designers to execute product visions.

Requirements

• Background in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant experience working directly with Engineering teams.
• Practical experience working with Agile frameworks in a Product Engineering culture, with a master-level understanding.
• 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager managing a technical product.
• Experience in Fintech and building banking systems is highly valued but not mandatory.
• Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through.
• Highly professional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, capable of engaging with key business stakeholders.
• Ability to run meetings efficiently and effectively.
• Understanding of cross-functional dependencies and collaboration with teams to meet product goals.
• Experience in project management, process mapping, software and infrastructure architecture, and data-driven feedback loops.
