About the position

The Senior Product Manager at Coupa will play a pivotal role in defining and building products for the Sourcing team, ensuring they are valuable, usable, and feasible. This position requires collaboration across business, engineering, and user experience teams, acting as the voice of the customer to enhance existing products and develop new ones. The role involves managing the entire product lifecycle, from strategic planning to market launch, while staying attuned to market trends and customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a product vision and roadmap aligned with market needs, customer feedback, and company objectives
  • Partner with engineering, design, and product design teams to define requirements, prioritize initiatives, and deliver high-impact features on time
  • Balance innovation, customer pain points, and market needs to deliver delightful, useful, and clear experiences
  • Manage the entire product life cycle: strategic planning, roadmap, feature design, development, go-to-market, and field support
  • Negotiate and advocate with other teams to solve cross-product needs
  • Stay ahead of market trends, competitive analysis, and emerging technologies to ensure our product remains a leader
  • Represent the product internally and externally, with occasional global travel and presentations.

Requirements

  • At least 6+ years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in Product Management at the PM or Senior PM Level
  • Experience in Enterprise SaaS software, Sourcing, or Total Spend Management areas like procurement or contracts
  • Strong understanding of market, customers, and competition to inform product strategies
  • Ability to prioritize and drive toward highly usable, well-designed solutions with clear UX standards
  • Understanding of solid engineering practices, testing, and managing technical debt
  • Ability to balance team, company, and external priorities, making effective tradeoffs
  • Strong collaboration skills and a bias toward action, using analysis and facts for decision-making
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
  • Eager to learn, self-start, and thrive in a fast-moving company
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business preferred; MBA is a strong plus.
