About the position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world's most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform, offering over 200 fully featured services from data centers globally. As a Senior Product Marketing Manager for our Next Generation Developer Tools, you will have the opportunity to define and drive the marketing and go-to-market strategy for current and future, cutting-edge, next-generation developer services including AWS Amplify and generative AI technologies. These services are aimed at increasing developer productivity, accelerating modern software development and release processes, and removing developer friction. You will be responsible for driving launch activities, creating compelling content to help customers understand the use cases and value propositions, and building the right marketing programs to drive awareness, customer engagement, service adoption, and retention. This role requires collaboration with engineering teams to shape the product vision and prioritize features, allowing you to have a significant impact on this strategic and rapidly growing business. In this position, you will be expected to drive customer-facing and sales-facing messaging and positioning. You will work at both the strategic and tactical levels, defining, owning, and executing service launch plans and content plans. Your responsibilities will include executing top-down and bottom-up (product-led) developer growth strategies, crafting and executing campaigns, and leveraging organic channels to reach customers. You will also be tasked with testing and refining new marketing approaches and channels to engage key audiences, developing detailed campaign project plans, and defining business metrics and measurement plans for related campaigns. Collaboration across AWS with groups such as engineering, digital marketing, sales, business development, and evangelists will be essential to achieve joint business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Drive customer facing and sales facing messaging and positioning
  • Define, own and execute service launch plan and content plan
  • Execute top down and bottom-up (product-led) developer growth strategies
  • Craft and execute campaigns and leverage organic channels to reach customers
  • Test and refine new marketing approaches and channels to engage key audiences
  • Develop detailed campaign project plans, creative briefs, and digital strategies
  • Define business metrics, measurement plan, and testing plan for related campaigns
  • Work effectively across AWS with groups such as engineering, digital marketing, sales, business development, and evangelists

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
  • Experience leading go-to-market for consumer software or hardware product launches
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle
  • Familiarity with technologies and frameworks popular with Front End developers
