About the position

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager at Palo Alto Networks, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the product marketing strategy for our Cortex offerings, particularly focusing on Cloud Security capabilities. This position requires you to be the expert and the driving force behind the go-to-market strategy for these products. You will be responsible for developing and executing positioning, messaging, content creation, and sales enablement strategies that resonate with our target markets and buyer personas. Your collaboration with various stakeholders, including product management, sales, field marketing, and technology partners, will be crucial in advancing our mission of being the cybersecurity partner of choice. In this role, you will leverage your security knowledge to translate complex product capabilities into clear, compelling messages and tools that effectively communicate value to customers. You will work closely with Product Management to establish a shared vision for the market and product, fostering a cooperative relationship that underpins all product marketing activities. Your ability to author high-quality content across various formats—such as print, web, social media, and video—will be essential, as will your skills in launching products and executing marketing campaigns in collaboration with field teams. You will also represent Palo Alto Networks in customer engagements and at industry events, evangelizing our point of view and tracking the security operations market and competitive landscape. This role is not just about marketing; it’s about being a subject matter expert and a go-to resource for sales and field marketing teams, ensuring that our strategies align with market demands and drive organizational success.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute the product marketing strategy for Cortex offerings.
  • Drive positioning, messaging, content creation, and sales enablement for Cloud Security capabilities.
  • Translate product capabilities into compelling messages and tools for customers.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to build a shared market and product vision.
  • Author high-quality content in various formats including print, web, social media, and video.
  • Launch products and collaborate with field teams to execute marketing campaigns.
  • Represent the company in customer engagements and at events.
  • Track the security operations market and competitive landscape.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product marketing experience, ideally with 5+ years in security technologies.
  • Understanding of the security operations domain, market trends, and customer requirements.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in creating and delivering presentations in various environments.
  • Demonstrated record of working cross-functionally to drive sales and demand generation.
  • Bachelor's degree required; technical degree or equivalent background is desirable.
