About the position

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager at AWS, you will play a pivotal role in driving awareness and adoption of AWS Skill Builder, our online learning center designed to revolutionize how organizations and individuals enhance their cloud skills. This position is not just about marketing; it’s about steering the direction of a new business initiative that has the potential to impact millions of professionals globally. You will be responsible for the entire product portfolio associated with AWS Skill Builder, which includes digital subscriptions, game-based learning, labs, and other hands-on applications. Your primary focus will be to define the product marketing strategy for this digital product portfolio on a global scale. To succeed in this role, you will need to develop a deep understanding of our customers, including their demographics, purchasing behaviors, and motivations. This insight will be crucial as you collaborate with product management to ensure a seamless user experience and compelling training content. You will leverage customer insights to craft positioning and messaging that resonates with our target audiences, ensuring that our marketing efforts are both effective and impactful. Collaboration will be key in this role. You will work closely with product, sales, marketing, and launch management teams to develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans aimed at growing the business. Additionally, you will partner with sales enablement teams to clearly articulate the value of our solutions to both prospects and existing customers. This is a highly visible position that requires you to interact with all levels of the company, making your ability to communicate effectively and build relationships essential. You will be joining a collaborative team that is dedicated to making a significant impact on how learners and organizations acquire the cloud skills necessary for digital transformation. This role is based in either Seattle, WA or Santa Clara, CA, with relocation offered for these locations only within the USA.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct customer research to inform marketing deliverables and influence the product roadmap.
  • Identify the target audience, buyer personas, and buyer journeys for your product offerings.
  • Collaborate with product teams to distill features and benefits of major launches into positioning and messaging.
  • Engage with marketing teams to develop marketing launch strategies and focused marketing programs that drive product adoption and usage.
  • Develop core go-to-market information for your product offerings, as well as presentations, customer stories, videos, and webpages.
  • Work effectively across the organization with groups such as product management, marketing, sales, and launch management teams to achieve joint business goals.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
  • Experience leading go-to-market for consumer software or hardware product launches
  • Experience communicating results to stakeholders

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting
  • Experience prior success in driving execution of large-scale project plans with multiple teams in support of business goals
  • Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadership
  • Experience using any of SQL or other analytical tools for conducting data analysis
  • Experience with B2B and/or B2C SaaS business
